Revised Schedule for Exam 2

Tuesday 7/29  Finish Chapter 3 material in Class and answer questions with remaining time.

Wednesday 7/30  Start Matrices in class. Students who have made arrangements with me may take the test today outside of class so that they know their score before drop deadline.

Thursday 7/31  Exam 2 during class

College Math with Calculus

3 hour course: An applied mathematics course designed for non-science majors. All topics are motivated by real world applications. Equations, graphs, functions; mathematics of finance; exponentials, logarithms, systems of linear equations and inequalities, linear programming; probability; basic differential calculus with applications.

Pre-requisite(s):  Two years of high school algebra and consent of department (placement test); or C or better in Math 1100 (College Algebra). Students should bring proof of prerequisite to the first day of class. This can be a copy of your transcript, grade report or permit from the math office. Welcome to Math 1400 with Tamara Carter !

On the first day of class, you should bring your proof of prerequisite. This means that you need to bring a copy of your transcript or grade report showing that you earned a C or better in College Algebra or a permit from the math department showing that you passed the departmental entrance exam within the last year. If you do not have either of these, please go to the math office ASAP to take the entrance exam!
