The original pharmacy at 13 Södrahamngatan (named "Apotek Enhörningen," "Unicorn apothecary") is now a beauty salon (N57 42.35 E11 57.84). The City Museum (12 Norra Hamngatan, N57 42.38 E11 57.80) has informative exhibits on the history of Göteborg and furnished important information regarding the history of Göteborg. The "Statue" is that of Gustav Adolf II (1594-1632), (N57 42.427 E11 58.015) the founder of Göteborg. The railway station (N57 42.51 E11 58.40) renders Göteborg easily accessible from the other major cities of Sweden. From the river Göta Älv (far left) the historic Stora Hamnkanalen ("Big Harbor Canal") was constructed providing access to imported goods moving into the bustling center of the city. Bridges across rhe canal connect Norra Hamngatan and Södra Hamngatan (North and South Harbor Street) and are numbered and identified in the map -- (1) Kämpebron, (2) Tyska Bron, (3) Fontänbron, (4) Fredsbron -- referring to descriptions in the photographs as one walks along the canal.
